Description

The MC14584BAL is a hex Schmitt-trigger inverter. This integrated circuit contains six independent inverters, each performing the logical NOT function. The Schmitt-trigger action provides different positive-going (VT+) and negative-going (VT-) threshold voltages. This hysteresis between the threshold voltages improves noise immunity and allows the device to be used in applications where noisy or slowly changing input signals are present.
