LTC1701ES5#TRPBF - High Efficiency Step-Down DC/DC Converter

The LTC1701ES5#TRPBF is a high-performance, step-down DC/DC converter designed by Linear Technology, now part of Analog Devices. This compact and efficient power management IC is ideal for portable and space-constrained applications. It operates from a 2.5V to 5.5V input voltage range, making it suitable for single Li-Ion, multiple Alkaline/NiMH cells, and other standard power sources.

One of the key features of the LTC1701ES5#TRPBF is its high switching frequency, which can go up to 1.4MHz. This allows the use of small, low-cost capacitors and inductors less than 2mm in height. The high frequency combined with a constant-frequency, current mode architecture ensures low, predictable output noise that is easy to filter and minimizes ripple on the power supply line.

The device includes an internal switch with a 550mA current limit, providing output currents up to 300mA depending on input voltage and output voltage conditions.
