The DAC7654YCT from Texas Instruments is a highly precise, quad-channel, 16-bit digital-to-analog converter (DAC) designed to deliver exceptional performance and accuracy for a wide range of applications. The device integrates four individual DACs on a single chip, each with its own voltage output. The DAC7654YCT operates from a single power supply ranging from +4.75V to +5.25V, and it is capable of providing bipolar outputs when used in conjunction with an external operational amplifier. One of the key features of the DAC7654YCT is its outstanding linearity, with a typical integral nonlinearity (INL) of ±4 LSB and differential nonlinearity (DNL) of ±2 LSB. This ensures that the output signal accurately follows the digital input with minimal error, making it suitable for precision applications where high accuracy is crucial.

The device also boasts a fast settling time, typically 10μs to ±0.003% of FSR, which enables rapid changes in output without significant delay. This makes the DAC7654YCT suitable for dynamic systems that require quick response times.

For enhanced reliability, the DAC7654YCT includes a power-on reset circuit that ensures the DAC output powers up to zero scale or mid-scale and remains there until a valid write to the device occurs. Additionally, the device features a clear function that immediately sets all DAC outputs to zero scale or mid-scale, depending on the configuration.

Available in a compact 38-lead TSSOP (Thin Shrink Small Outline Package), the DAC7654YCT is designed for space-constrained applications and operates over the extended industrial temperature range of -40°C to +105°C.
