The MAX313CSE+T from Maxim Integrated is a precision, quad, single-pole double-throw (SPDT) analog switch that stands out for its high performance and reliability. Designed to operate with a single +5V power supply or with dual ±5V supplies, this versatile component can seamlessly integrate into a variety of electronic systems. The MAX313CSE+T is available in a compact 16-pin narrow SO package, making it ideal for space-constrained applications.

This analog switch features low on-resistance (R<sub>ON) of just 100Ω max, which is matched between channels to within 5Ω max and remains flat over the specified signal range (0.5Ω max). Such low on-resistance reduces signal distortion and ensures high signal integrity, making the MAX313CSE+T suitable for audio, video, and data signal routing. Furthermore, the on-resistance is matched between switches to within 2Ω max, which is crucial for maintaining signal balance and preventing phase errors in applications such as differential signal routing.

The MAX313CSE+T boasts low charge injection (10pC max), minimizing the impact on the signal during the transition from one state to another, and thus preserving the quality of the transmitted signal. This feature, along with fast switching speeds (turn-on time of 150ns and turn-off time of 100ns), makes it an excellent choice for sample-and-hold circuits and other applications where speed and precision are necessary.
