With Hall sensor technology, the AS5172A/B can measure the magnetic flux density in a sensor array that is distributed across the circumference and compensate for the effects of eliminating external stray magnetic fields, providing a robust 14-bit (0.022° accuracy) sensor array and simulation. The front-centered, robust structure compensates for external stray magnetic fields. The AS5172A/B can also be programmed to support a full range of motion angles down to 0-10° to provide the best resolution for the application.
Recently, Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. (NYSE) announced the launch of its new 2A to 10A device, the SiC46x, with an input voltage of 4.5V to 60V, and expanded its microBUCK® synchronous buck regulator. The Vishay Siliconi × SiC46× device is space-saving, combining a high-performance N-channel trench MOSFET and a controller in a small MLP55-27L package for high efficiency, high power density and long-term reliability. Simplified thermal management.
Vicor has introduced a series of devices that support ±1% regulation to further expand its isolation and regulation DC-DC converter module (DCM) camp in a ChiP package. The latest series offers unmatched power density of up to 1,032 W/in3, achieving ±1% accuracy over the full operating range. In the previous ChiP packaged DCM series, in order to support high power output, multiple DCM modules can be used in parallel with an output voltage accuracy of ±3%.
Analog Devices, Inc. (ADI) recently announced the AD9689, a 14-bit 2.6 GSPS dual-channel analog-to-digital converter with excellent speed and linearity, supporting IF/RF sampling. The AD9689 analog-to-digital converter consumes 1.55 W per channel, which is only half of the same solution on the market, further improving the support for many target design scenarios.
Linear Technology Corporation, a member of Analog Devices, Inc., introduced the 40V, 2A μModule® (power module) step-down regulator, the LTM8063, featuring a tiny device. 25mm × 4mm BGA package. The package size is 75% smaller than the existing equivalent. The solution uses two 0805 size capacitors and two 0603 size resistors, occupying only 70mm2 of board area.
Linear Technology Corporation, a division of Analog Devices, Inc., introduced the LT8650S, a dual 4A, 42V input synchronous step-down switching regulator. Its unique Silent Switcher® 2 architecture uses four internal input capacitors and two internal BST and one single INTVCC capacitor to minimize thermal ring area. The LT8650S has a very well-controlled switching edge and internal structure and overall ground plane with copper posts instead of bond wires, and its design greatly reduces EMI emissions. This improved EMI performance is insensitive to PCB layout, which simplifies design and reduces risk, even when using two-layer PC boards. With a 2MHz switching frequency, the LT8650S can easily meet the automotive CISPR 25Class 5 peak EMI limit over the entire load range. The device also offers spread spectrum frequency modulation to further reduce EMI levels.

Littelfuse, Inc., a global leader in the field of circuit protection, today announced the introduction of high temperature SCR (silicon controlled rectifier) thyristors - the first of its kind with a junction temperature of up to 150°C and compact surface mount D-PAK (TO- 252) Package. This product is also available in through-hole V-PAK (TO-251) packages. At a voltage of approximately 1.5V, the gate current trigger level of the standard SJ-series SCR thyristors is as low as 6mA (up to 15 mA). The gate trigger current of sensitive products in this series is less than 200μA. Sensitive gate thyristors are easily triggered by induction coils, proximity switches, and microprocessors.
The world's leading supplier of high-performance sensor solutions, Amyss Semiconductor, recently announced that headset manufacturer FIIL has adopted two chips from AIM Semiconductor in its new products.
0 Promoting Energy-Efficient Innovation and Market Leader in Automotive Image Sensors ON Semiconductor today introduced a new CMOS image sensor platform for automotive applications (such as ADAS, mirror replacement, rearview and rearview systems, and autonomous driving, etc.) Performance and image quality are brought to the next level. The HayabusaTM platform features a breakthrough 3.0-micron back-illuminated pixel design that provides the industry's highest 100,000 electronic charge capacity, plus other key automotive features such as synchronized on-chip high dynamic range (HDR), elimination of LED flicker (LFM) and real-time Functional safety and automotive certification.
